Research

Pulse Breeder, leading and collaborating on research initiatives for pulse crop improvement. Conducting genome-wide association studies (GWAS) to analyze seed nutritional components, co-developing a phenomics pipeline that integrates Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and ground robots for agronomic trait selection, and establishing speed breeding methodologies to accelerate genetic gain using genomic and phenomic selection. Developing cultivar-agnostic predictive models for pulse crop nutritional quality and agronomic performance through unsupervised deep learning techniques. Teaching experimental statistics for graduate students and serve as the head of the R Working Group at WSU, fostering data science skills in agriculture.

Teaching

STAT/AFS 511: Statistical Methods for Graduate Researchers. Graduate-level course covering fundamentals of experimental design and statistical analysis across scientific disciplines. Emphasis on hypothesis development, experimental design, data interpretation, and application of statistical methods using R.
