Yingxue Yu won the Oral and Poster Student Competition in the Soil Physics and Hydrology Division at the SSSA Annual Meeting in San Antonio in November. Congratulations Yingxue!

Two WSU Crop Science PhD students recently placed in the “Seed the Future” Student Poster Contest at the American Seed Trade Association’s CSS & Seed Expo 2019 in Chicago. The poster contest was sponsored by Peterson Genetics. Julianne Kellogg came in first with a poster titled, ‘Human Health from Soil to Society: Barley Beta-Glucan, Glycemic Control, and Appetite’. Samuel Prather came in third with a poster titled, ‘Breeder Friendly Markers for Hessian Fly Resistance in Wheat’. Congratulations Julianne and Samuel!
