Cornelius Adewale (Environmental Natural Resource Environmental & Natural Resource Sciences program) has been awarded the Bullitt Foundation Environmental Fellowship. One award is made annually to a graduate student in Washington, Oregon, or British Columbia. The fellowship funds a 2-year post-doc. Value $100,000.
Holly Lane and Carmen Swannack, undergraduate students in the Integrated Plant Sciences Ag Biotech, both received the Golden Opportunity Scholarship from the Crop Science Society of America. This will allow them to travel to the ASA/CSSA/SSSA annual meeting in Tampa, FL, be paired with a mentor/scientist, and experience the meetings and network with other scientists. Holly works as an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Michael Neff’s lab, and Carmen works as an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Arron Carter’s lab. These two students were selected from a national search, and represent the best undergraduate students in the agricultural field.
