Oilseed Crop Production Workshop, 2012

Presentation at the Production Workshop

The 2012 Oilseed Production Workshops were held in Odessa and Colfax, Washington. Presenters from Bridgeport, WA to Grangeville, ID addressed the agronomic and economic benefits of having an oilseed crop in rotation; researchers shared information about current oilseed research in the PNW; and livestock producers, researchers and ag industry representatives discussed the entire oilseed supply chain – seed suppliers, crop consultants, processors, storage, and the livestock industry as end-users. Our keynote speaker was Mike Stamm, canola breeder at Kansas State University, and Jeff Scott and Heath Sanders provided informative and entertaining grower and agronomist perspectives of canola production from Oklahoma.
