Odessa refinery helping meet demand for biodiesel

ODESSA, Wash. – It has been a rough go for Washington’s fledgling biodiesel industry, with only a handful of the announced projects actually coming into production and promised financial support from the state withering in the harsh economic climate.
14 Airlines Sign Landmark MOU for Camelina-based Renewable Jet Fuel & Green Diesel

SEATTLE--Seattle-based AltAir Fuels today announced it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with 14 major airlines from the United States, Mexico, Canada and Germany, led by the Air Transport Association (ATA), to negotiate the purchase of up to 750 million gallons of renewable jet fuel and diesel derived from camelina and produced by AltAir Fuels.

Disaster Relief Available for Farmers and Ranchers
 (Spokane, WA), Dec. 1, 2009
The U.S. Department of Agriculture designated six counties in Washington as primary natural disaster areas due to drought. Counties include Chelan, Douglas, Ferry, Grant, Lincoln, and Okanogan. The designation triggers availability of low-interest loans and the Supplemental Revenue Assistance Payment Program (SURE) for farmers and ranchers.
