of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences Student Scholarships
The
annual deadline is January 31. Again, please take advantage of this
opportunity to get your application on file. The CAHNRS application
process is where the students vie for the majority of crop and soil
science endowment scholarships such as:
- GLEN D. FRANKLIN ENDOWED GRADUATE FELLOWSHIP IN CROPS AND SOILS
Used to provide funding to the recipient studying agronomic problems applicable to both Washington and Alaska
- ROY L. GOSS TURFGRASS SCHOLARSHIPS
Awarded to students with future involvement and leadership in the turfgrass industry
and academic achievement.
- FRANK S. GREELEY SCHOLARSHIP
Awarded to students majoring in crop and soil sciences.
- JOHN W. HINRICHS SCHOLARSHIP
Awarded to students majoring in crop and soil sciences, with preference given to
students interested in crop production.
- MAX HINRICHS, SR. SCHOLARSHIP
Awarded to students majoring in crop science.
- ANDY LEJEUNE GRADUATE RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIP
Awarded to a graduate student doing research in barley breeding and genetics.
- CHARLES DAWSON MOODIE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Awarded to students majoring in crop and soil sciences.
- REYNOLD-BIERSNER SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT
Awarded to students in the Crop and Soil Sciences Department.
- TRACY VINCENT-SHARP MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Student working toward a degree in food crop production.
- WASHINGTON / NORTH IDAHO SEED ASSOCIATION
Awarded to students majoring in crop and soil sciences.
SCHOLARSHIPS
FOR DEPENDENTS OF WSU FACULTY AND STAFF: These scholarships
are for entering, full-time, undergraduate students who have not
exceeded age 25. Spouses are not eligible. The awards are renewable
for a second year if the student is making satisfactory progress
towards a degree and has a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above at WSU.
Only dependents of the following are eligible to apply: * WSU classified
staff members holding half time or greater appointments and having
permanent status or on trial service. * County-paid staff members
having permanent status and working half time or more for WSU
Extension. * WSU Faculty and A/P employees holding half time or
greater appointments. Application for this should be made at the same time as application for admission. Applications must be made on the WSU Application for Academic Scholarships form. This application covers a long list of scholarships, and all students interested in scholarship support should submit it each year. On the application the question "Do you have a parent who works for Washington State University?" requires a yes answer as well as the name and department of the qualifying parent. The annual deadline for this scholarship is January 31.
